International Association for the Study of Pain

Scan Design Foundation's collaboration with the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) began in 2004 and has developed the following three programs:

• Scan Design Foundation Collaborative Research Grants

This program encourages and supports collaborative, multidisciplinary research between two or more research groups located in the five Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) and the United States. Grant awards are up to $25,000.

• Scan Design Foundation International Trainee Fellowships

This program provides two 12-month fellowships to support training in all aspects of pain research. Fellowship stipend: $50,000.

• Scan Design Foundation Early Career Grants

This programs awards grants up to $20,000 to IASP members for pain research early in their professional careers.
