The urban fabric is rapidly evolving

Migration into the world’s major cities around the globe continues to grow. The United Nations predicts that 68% of the world’s population will live in urban areas by 2050, a 13% jump from today’s 55%. By 2050 approximately 2.5 billion people will need to find housing in our cities where housing availability is already scarce. Our challenge is to find ways to accommodate ever more people in our cities while improving living conditions and dramatically reducing our carbon emissions.
